James (Ray) Robinson is the previous owner of Splitting Hairs and a Louisville native. He started in the salon industry some thirty-four years ago out of a passion for people and a need to express himself creatively. Splitting Hairs is the art of Ray’s heart and gives him a direct conduit for his creativity. With that creativity he loves connecting with people and helping to make them beautiful. His mantra is that Splitting Hairs is for the young and young at heart.
Ray’s favorite element of hair style is high- and low-lights.
Outside of being among his wonderful collection of stylists, his favorite past time is being at home with his partner and his dogs, as well as cooking and gardening.
